A Huge Thank You to Virginia Fence Company!

ree

Every project has moments that remind us why we started in the first place. For us, one of those moments came when Joe Winslow of Virginia Fence Company answered the phone. I had planned to just leave a message, but instead Joe picked up and in that short conversation something incredible happened.

When I explained that we are building a community garden for veterans here in Augusta County Joe didn’t hesitate. Before I could even finish my full explanation, he offered to donate the deer fence we need for the garden. It might sound like just fence, but for us, it’s so much more than that.

This donation means security for the plants we grow, which in turn means food, healing, and purpose for the veterans who will use this space. It means that the raised beds we are building will actually thrive, protected from deer and wildlife, so the effort and care put in by veterans won’t be lost. It means that when veterans walk into this garden, they’ll know the community around them truly supports them.

We are deeply grateful to Joe and Virginia Fence Company for this gift. Their generosity doesn’t just build a fence it helps build hope, belonging, and a place where veterans can reconnect and heal.

From all of us working to bring this vision to life, and from the veterans who will soon call this garden their own: Thank you Joe.

We are proud to add Virginia Fence Company to our growing list of Friends of the Project.
