We’re really excited to share some good news! Black Bear Composting has offered to donate all of the compost we’ll need to get the Veterans Garden of Augusta growing!
If you don’t know them yet, Black Bear is a local company out of Crozet that takes food scraps and organic waste and turns them into rich, living soil. They’re all about sustainability and giving back to the community and now they’re helping us turn a patch of ground (when we find that patch hahaha) into something that can feed, teach, and heal veterans right here at home.
Their support means a lot. Starting a project like this takes a village, and having local folks step up and say we believe in what you’re doing is what keeps this whole thing moving forward.
A huge thank you to the Black Bear team for backing our mission and helping us build a garden that will grow more than just food it’ll grow community.
