Come Help Us Plant Our Orchard This Sunday!

ree

We’re keeping the momentum going. After our wonderful Veterans Day tree planting, we’re continuing the project this Sunday with even more trees going into the ground. Thank you again to all the volunteers on Veterans Day!

Edible Landscaping (https://ediblelandscaping.com/) generously donated two beautiful persimmon trees, and the Staunton Tree Stewards (https://www.shenandoahgreen.org/tree-stewards) are donating additional fruit trees for this weekend’s planting from 1–4 PM. Their support means so much and helps our small orchard grow into something lasting for our veterans and our community.

We’ve already dug most of the holes, so it won’t be heavy work just helping hands and good company!

If you'd like to join in, we’ll be at 212 Frontier Drive in Staunton, behind VFW Post 2216.

Come out this Sunday, 1–4 PM, and help us continue the Veterans Day spirit as we keep building our orchard together. We’d love to have you there.

If you have a some wood chips or mulch bring it!

Call The Garden Coordinator at (540) 280-5454 if you need help with directions or need more info!
