Help Us Plant Our First Fruit Trees This Veterans Day from 10-12!

On their way to their new home.
On their way to their new home.

We’re kicking off our very first planting day at our new home, 212 Frontier Drive in Staunton, VA on the back acre lot behind the VFW and we’d love for you to join us.

Thanks to the wonderful folks at the Staunton Tree Stewards, we’ll be planting the first seven fruit trees to start our little urban orchard. This marks the first step in turning the space into a place where veterans and the community can grow, learn, and give back together.

We’ll be out there on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11th, from 10 AM to 12 PM, getting our hands dirty, putting trees in the ground, and celebrating how far this project has come. Come lend a hand if you can or just stop by to say hi and see the garden site.

WHSV will be coming by to check out the garden and share what we’re building here in Staunton, so it’s a great time to come see the start of something special.

This is just the beginning of the orchard and the garden more trees will be planted the following weekend as we keep growing together.

Hope to see you there!

Learn a little, grow a little, give a little.

(Pull into the VFW Post 2216 parking lot and follow it to the very back and you will see the garden site).
