We are excited to welcome Kadrin Anderson as an advisor to the Veterans Garden of Augusta.
Kadrin is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Mary Baldwin University with a strong background in botany, making her a perfect fit to guide us on everything plant-related especially when it comes to native plants. She brings not only deep knowledge but also a love of teaching, which will be a huge asset as she helps lead classes for veterans in the garden.
Her dedication to the environment extends beyond the classroom. Kadrin volunteers with Shenandoah Green, supporting community sustainability and green initiatives right here in the Valley. She also serves as a Council Member with the Southern Appalachian Botanical Society, which publishes Castanea, a leading journal on botany in the eastern United States.
Kadrin is truly multi-faceted these are only a few of the many ways she contributes her time and talent to education, sustainability, and community life.
We’re grateful to have her wisdom, energy, and plant expertise as part of our team. With guidance from leaders like Kadrin, the Veterans Garden of Augusta can grow into both a thriving space for plants and a resource for people.
Welcome, Kadrin!
