Welcome Thorny Bottom Bees to the Garden!🐝

We’re thrilled to welcome Thorny Bottom Bees to the growing list of partners and friends supporting the Veterans Garden of Augusta!

They’re not just beekeepers they’re bee educators, sharing their passion through workshops and courses at Blue Ridge Community College and in the community. Their enthusiasm for pollinators and teaching is contagious, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them join us!

Thorny Bottom Bees will be helping us bring beekeeping education to veterans at the garden not only from the perspective of honey production and sustainability, but also from the therapeutic and restorative side of working with bees.

Beekeeping teaches patience, calm, and respect for nature values that resonate deeply with what this garden stands for.
