Working With Fire: Welcoming Rx Fire Effects to the Garden!

We’re excited to share that Rx Fire Effects has joined us as a new friend in our mission to create a healing, living space for veterans here at the Veterans Garden of Augusta.

The team at Rx Fire Effects brings decades of experience in prescribed fire and land management, with backgrounds that include long careers with the U.S. Forest Service and now in the private sector. Their work focuses on using fire as a natural tool the way nature intended to restore and maintain healthy ecosystems.

Together, we plan to work with them to restore and manage our native plant areas through carefully planned prescribed burns. These burns will help us keep the land in balance, supporting the native species that evolved alongside fire while also improving soil health and biodiversity.

Beyond fire management, Rx Fire Effects are also experts in vegetation management, habitat restoration, and ecosystem health, making them an incredible resource for our growing project.

We’re truly thankful for their willingness to share their expertise and passion for the land. Having them onboard will help ensure our native plant patches thrive in harmony with the natural cycles that have shaped them from their beginnings.
